Symptoms

• Excel says the formula has an error
• The formula works in Google Sheets but not in Excel
• The result looks odd on dates

Causes and fixes

1. Commas between arguments where your locale expects semicolons

What to do: Replace commas with semicolons or state in the request "Excel with semicolon separators"

2. The function exists in a newer Excel than yours

What to do: State your Excel version in the request, for example 2016 without dynamic arrays

3. Dates are stored as text

What to do: Convert the column to a date format and check the formula again
