How to delete data from Airtable: records, attachments and the account

Symptoms

• You need to remove personal data from a base
• Attachments remain after records are deleted
• You need to close the account completely

Causes and fixes

1. Deleted records stay in the base's trash

What to do: Empty the base trash after deleting records, otherwise they can be restored

2. Attachments live on in snapshots and revision history

What to do: Delete the whole base if you need to remove all history, exporting what you need first

3. The account and the workspace are deleted separately

What to do: Delete the workspaces you own, then the account in profile settings
