HireVue: a candidate cannot record the video interview

Symptoms

• The camera or microphone does not work in the browser
• The recording keeps breaking off
• The interview link has expired

Causes and fixes

1. The browser has no camera permission

What to do: Open the link in Chrome or Edge and allow camera and microphone access

2. A weak internet connection

What to do: The candidate should record through the mobile app on Wi-Fi or ask to move the deadline

3. The invitation has expired

What to do: The recruiter extends the deadline or sends a new invitation
