Claude for business: company billing, invoices and VAT

Symptoms

• Accounting asks for an invoice with the seller's details
• You need five or more seats with one payment
• It is unclear whether VAT is added for a company

Causes and fixes

1. Personal Pro is billed to an individual with no company invoice

What to do: Set up Team: from five seats, 25 dollars per seat with annual billing, company details in Billing

2. VAT is added depending on the country and the tax number in the profile

What to do: Enter the company tax number in Billing and check the total before confirming; if VAT remains, it appears as a separate line on the invoice

3. You need invoices for the books

What to do: Download them from Billing, Invoices after each charge; they carry Anthropic's details

4. You need the API for your own automation

What to do: The API is billed separately on console.anthropic.com with prepaid credits and your company details
